Product Overview
The Avtron M6C series is an updated, ATEX- and IECEx-certified version of the M6 encoder, designed for direct mounting on motor or load shafts ranging from 1" to 1 1/8" (25–30mm). The M6C adds IECEx certification, allowing direct installation in any Zone 1 environment without the need for barriers or isolators.
Unlike weaker optical encoders, the M6C employs rugged magnetic sensors and a solid metal rotor, offering shatterproof and moisture-resistant performance to maximize uptime. Hollow shaft models mount directly on shafts without additional hardware, while heavy-duty bearings withstand vibration and runout that would damage lesser encoders.
The M6C also includes a comprehensive wiring protection system, capable of surviving wiring errors and transmitting signals reliably over long cable runs.
